International Handicrafts Exhibition opens in Oman

Muscat: The Public Authority for Craft Industries (PACI) celebrated at Qurum National Park the opening of the International Handicrafts Exhibition on Thursday, under the patronage of Mohammed bin al-Zubair, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs, in the presence of Sheikha Aisha bint Khalfan al-Siyabiya, PCAI Chairperson, and a number of ministers.

The chief guest and the audience toured the exhibition, which comprises wide international participations of the Sultanate's craftsmen, as well as craftsmen from 14 countries, namely Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Sudan, Egypt, Algeria, India, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, China, Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka, as well as an exhibition of a number of international bodies and organisations specialised in handicrafts, such as the World Crafts Council.
