Muscat: Brigadier General Alessandro Grassano, Deputy Chief of Military Policy and Planning of the Italian Republic, and his accompanying delegation, visited the National Defence College (NDC) in the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies at Bait Al Falaj Garrison on Tuesday.
Upon the guests’ arrival at the NDC, the guest was greeted by Brigadier Abdullah Hamad Al Harthy, Assistant Commandant of the NDC.
Members of the visiting delegation were briefed on the college's facilities and equipment, as well as its various departments and halls designed according to the latest specifications and equipped with the best educational systems, training aids and multi-purpose electronic network systems. They also listened to a briefing on the NDC and its academic facilities and equipment according to the latest specifications.
The guest also visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC).
Upon his arrival at the centre, he was greeted by the Acting Head of the MSC.
Vice President of International Relations of Italy was briefed on the roles and tasks carried out by the centre in maintaining the safety of the maritime environment. He also toured the centre’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies that are used in carrying out its national duties.
