Al Khaboura: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has started work on the double link of Al Khaboura Road in North Al Batinah Governorate.
With a length of 14.5 km, it starts at the Al Batinah Expressway intersection and ends at the Al Khaboura Wilayat roundabout on the Al Batinah Main Road.
The project work includes raising the efficiency of the existing road from a single road to double with two lanes of traffic in each direction and the construction of a number of culverts to drain out rainwater.
In addition, erecting on the road concrete and metal barriers traffic safety, guiding regulations and warning paints according to the standard specifications approved in the road design guide in the Sultanate of Oman.
The establishment of this link comes as part of the Ministry's plan to activate the link between the Al Batinah Highway and the Al Batinah Expressway by working to raise the efficiency of the existing road links or constructing new road links according to the results of traffic studies and the road matrix supervised by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.
