Agreement to boost small and medium enterprises in Oman signed

Muscat: Oman Global Logistics Group (ASYAD) and the Public Authority for SMEs Development (Riyada) signed a memorandum to enhance the joint cooperation in supporting the SMEs in the logistics sector.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Abdulrahman bin Salim Al Hatmi, CEO of ASYAD and Khalid bin Al Safi Al Huraibi, Acting CEO of Riyada.
Eng. Al Hatmi said that the agreement will contribute to enhancing cooperation and partnership between the two sides to achieve the common objectives, especially in areas related to supporting entrepreneurship and activating the participation of SMEs in the logistics activity.
He pointed out that this memorandum will create a real partnership between the two sides, which will contribute to achieving common goals and creating an environment that supports the Omani youth in the logistics sector.
On his turn, Al Huraibi said that the memorandum of cooperation aims to intensify efforts between the two sides, in addition to raising the value of SMEs contribution in the GDP in order to make the Omani economy reach advanced stages.
