Muscat: In the first week of Ramadan, more than 300 insolvent people were successfully released as part of the Fak Kurbah initiative in the Sultanate of Oman.
The Fak Kurbah humanitarian initiative, in its tenth edition, successfully released 319 prisoners in various governorates of Oman.
The releases were distributed across ten governorates as follows: 98 prisoners from North Al Batinah Governorate, 54 from Al Dhahirah Governorate, and 42 from Al Buraimi Governorate. While 32 insolvent cases were released from South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, 29 from Muscat Governorate, and 20 from Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
As for the South Al Batinah Governorate, 26 cases were released, 13 from the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, 4 from the Dhofar Governorate, and one from the Musandam Governorate. The Fak Kurbah in its tenth edition aims to release 1,300 prisoners.
