Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has issued its first statement on the Marburg Virus Disease (MVD) outbreak.
Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement: "The Ministry of Health has issued its first statement on the outbreak of Marburg virus disease (MVD) in the Federal Republic of Tanzania and Equatorial Guinea, confirming that it is monitoring the disease in these two countries, as it is highly contagious and has a death rate of 60 to 80 percent. Calling not to travel to those two countries unless absolutely necessary."
