Oman takes part in Seatrade Cruise exhibition in US

Florida: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, is currently participating in the Seatrade Cruise Global exhibition, which specialises in the cruise ship sector, in Lauderdale, Florida, USA.

The participation aims to promote and meet with the operating companies of international cruise ships and decision-makers, as the exhibition witnesses the participation of CEOs, service providers of the cruise ships and yachts sector, representatives of governments, tourism companies and many media outlets.

The season of cruise ships in the Sultanate of Oman and the region in general is active during the winter tourist season from October and ends at the end of April of each year through the ports of the Sultanate of Oman represented by the Sultan Qaboos Tourist Port, Salalah Port, Khasab Port and some other ports.

It is noteworthy that the number of visitors coming to the Sultanate of Oman via cruise ships for each of the Sultan Qaboos Tourist Port, Salalah Port and Khasab Port reached 85,092 during the past year, with 77 visits, and it is expected that the number of visitors coming to Omani ports will reach 100,000 tourists for this year on board Cruise ships of various sizes to Omani ports, with more than 142 visits.
