Ministry of Education conducts two vital training programmes

Muscat: The Department of Educational Studies and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Education implemented a two-day two training programmes.

The programmes were on benefiting from the e-mail services in the Ministry, and on the institutional proficiency system, both of which were carried out by the trainer, Professor Youssef bin Saif Al-Hasani.

Both training programmes aim to provide the department’s employees with experiences and knowledge that contribute to career development.

The first programme ‘Benefiting from e-mail services at the Ministry of Education’ included a number of topics. These included an overview of e-mail, accessing process, identifying e-mail services, installing applications on devices, and applying them in the  department.

The trainer focused on the Outlook programme and the policies of the Ministry of Education for mail, and ways to protect it by phone as well as learning about the cloud applications in the Microsoft 365 package and how to deal with them, apply them in the department, and benefit from them in the work field, and how to install them in devices of all different operating systems and phones, as they are free for all ministry employees who have the official ministry  e-mail.

The second programme focused on the institutional proficiency system, its definition, objectives, main criteria and indicators, and the evaluation mechanism, where the trainer talked about the justifications for applying the institutional proficiency system, and the mechanism for calculating indicators for measuring the institutional proficiency system, then he touched on the stages of applying it in the units of the state’s administrative apparatus and methods of measuring performance  indicators.

The Department of Educational Studies and International Cooperation seeks through the implementation of these training programs to identify the services provided in e-mail, how to apply them, add experiences, ways of thinking, and new skills for employees, increase business effectiveness, keep pace with career development, and improve the general performance of employees.
