Oman's Civil Aviation Authority issues weather warning for next 48 hours

Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms are expected to affect the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday March 27 and Wednesday March 28, said the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in its alert No1. The CAA said: “Heavy rains, thunderstorms expected over governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi and Al Dhahira which may range between 30 mm to 80 mm (within 24 hours), and will extend gradually during the afternoon and evening over governorates of South Al Batinah, Al Dakhylia, Muscat, South Al Sharqiya an North Al Sharqiya and later at night over governorates of Al Wusta and Dhofar.” The Civil Aviation Authority has issued a caution warning and has asked the citizens to refrain from crossing valleys, visiting low places and going to the sea until the end of the warning period.
