Philanthropist helps release more than 35 cases of insolvents

Muscat: For the seventh year in a row, a citizen donates to release 38 cases from the jail in Al Dhahirah Governorate. This was done as a part of the Fak Kurba initiative.

A citizen from Al-Dhahirah Governorate donated to release all 38 cases of insolvent inmates who accumulated debts for various reasons, to which the terms of the initiative to relieve humanity’s distress were met in the Al-Dhahirah Courts in its tenth edition.

The Board of Directors of the Fak Kurba initiative expressed their gratitude for the constant cooperation of the philanthropists, individuals and various institutions. They appreciated the goodwill of the donors to give the prisoners a second chance to be united with the families after being locked up due to financial shortcomings.

It is worth noting that the humanitarian initiative has succeeded in releasing more than 4,969 insolvents who met the conditions of the initiative. This year, they aim to release about 1,300 cases with the participation of community members and various institutions.
