Muscat: Dust storms are expected over most of the Sultanate of Oman's governorates due to fresh winds, Oman Meteorology said on Friday.

The Meteorology said in its daily weather forecast that the weather will be mainly clear skies over most of the governorates with dust storms due to fresh winds over desert and open areas. There are chances of late night to early morning of low level clouds or fog patches over Governorates of Al Dhahira, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and along the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate.

The aerial image shows the flow of high clouds over parts of the Al Buraimi and Al Wusta Governorates and the presence of scattered clouds on parts of the coasts of South Al Sharqiyah and Muscat Governorates.

The expected maximum and minimum temperatures on Friday will be 28 degree Celsius and 20 degrees respectively in Muscat, 30 degrees and 17 degree in Ibri, 29 degrees and 18 degrees in Rustaq, 31 degrees and 22 degrees in Sohar and 25 degrees and 20 degrees in Khasab.
