Indeed, the Tahoe Z71 has been crafted to unlock maximum performance, no matter the environment. The perfect SUV for every desert adventure, it has specifically designed off-roading performance features for the region’s most adventurous drivers. Muscular in character, the all-new Tahoe Z71 encapsulates the ‘bigger, bolder, better’ signature styling of the legendary Chevrolet brand. An adventure-packed standalone trim from the legendary Tahoe line-up, the Z71 benefits from a styling reboot, best-in-class interior, superior performance and advanced technology.
Powering the all-new Z71 is a 5.3L V8 engine mated to an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission. Delivering a substantial 355 horsepower and 519 Nm of torque, it packs enough power to tow heavy loads of up to 3,800 kg with hardly a peep. Helping balance efficiency with performance is the Tahoe’s Dynamic Fuel Management system that optimizes engine efficiency across a broad range of driving conditions.
A key feature of the Z71 is its all-new independent multi-link rear suspension which allows each rear wheel to handle road conditions separately. This architecture also enables first-in-class Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension which provides load-levelling at all corners of the vehicle and up to four inches of ride-height adjustment. The smoothness of the journey is evident even as the Z71 makes its way across undulating terrain.
Enabling the Z71’s superior performance notwithstanding the terrain is the Autotrac system, a 2-speed automatic, active transfer case offering five modes: Auto 4WD, 4HI, 4LO, 2HI and Neutral. These modes can be activated across different landscapes, supporting the driver no matter what’s beneath the wheels.
As with any Chevrolet model, there’s no dearth of technology to complement the Z71’s unmatched performance on or off-road. Take, for example, its class-leading 360 camera offering a total of nine views, in addition to HD Surround Vision. There is also the Chevy Safety Assist, which encompasses active safety features such as Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Following Distance Indicator and IntelliBeam auto high beams.
To ensure memorable rides in pristine natural settings, the all-new Z71 also comes packed with unrivalled connectivity and technology with up to five display screens, 12”-inch-diagonal instrument cluster, 10.2” multi- colour touch screen, Bose speaker system and dual 12.6-inch diagonal rear seat LCD displays (available).
