Production of electricity, water in Oman increases

The Sultanate of Oman’s total production of electricity increased by 8.1 percent till the end of December 2022, according to the latest data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). The Governorate of Dhofar recorded a rise in electricity production by 10.2 percent. The governorates of North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah and Al Dhahirah recorded an increase in total electricity production by 16.7 percent. Oman’s net production of electricity till the end of December 2022 went up by 8.3 percent. The governorates of Dhofar and Muscat recorded a rise by 9.3 percent and 6.9 percent in water production.
