Omani-British military drill conducted

Muscat: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO), represented by the Sultan of Oman’s Parachute Regiment and military units of the Royal British Army on Sunday held the practical demonstration of the Omani-British military drill “Mountain Storm 2023”.

The practical demonstration was held under the patronage of Maj.Gen Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of RAO. It was also attended by Maj.Gen Chris Barry, in charge of land training at the Royal British Army.

The attendees were briefed on the drill, the practical demonstration and its various training goals.

The practical demonstration was carried out in the mountain areas of RAO in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar, the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah.

The drill comes within the framework of the training plan of RAO to sustain preparedness.

Further, the practical demonstration was attended by several senior officers of RAO and the Royal British Army.
