Sayyid Fahd receives Slovak Deputy Prime Minister

Muscat: As per the Royal directives, HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers today received Stefan Holly, Deputy Prime Minister for Legislation and Strategic Planning in the Slovak Republic.

At the outset of the meeting, the guest conveyed greetings and best wishes of the Slovak leadership to the leadership in the Sultanate of Oman, wishing the Omani people further progress. He expressed his country’s interest in promoting relations with the Sultanate of Oman in various spheres.

After welcoming the guest and his accompanying delegation, HH Sayyid Fahd reviewed the existing relations between the two countries.

He affirmed that the Sultanate of Oman has prepared all means to support its relations with friendly countries around the world. Oman, said HH Sayyid Fahd, has also furnished the appropriate milieu for investments, especially in economic diversification sectors such as industry, trade, tourism and other fields, while offering more investment opportunities for business people.

The meeting reviewed the current issues and developments at the regional and international arenas, as well as the efforts being exerted to maintain security and stability.

On his turn, the Slovak official expressed his pride and that of his accompanying delegation on this visit. His underscored his country’s appreciation to the progress achieved by Oman, as well as its positive contributions to promoting understanding and consolidating ties of friendship with all countries.

He pointed out that his meetings with the Omani officials come within the context of boosting cooperation between the two countries and pushing it towards wider horizons.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi.
