Muscat: The newly-instituted Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir international celebrated the 69th Republic Day of India on its premises. The school was joined by the primary and senior wings of ISWK.
The National Anthem by the student choir set the tone and mood of the celebration. Post that, a march past by the four houses of ISWK took place. Students from kindergarten dressed as famous personalities of the Indian Freedom movement. A Yoga dance troupe employing several popular yogic postures depicted the tricolour of the Indian national flag. Students also sang patriotic songs and danced.
The Chief Guest, Mahesh Toprani, a prominent member of the Indian business community, gave away prizes to the awardees of various art competitions held in the latest season of ‘Art Utsav’.
