Rise in dust and reduced visibility, warns Meteorology Department

Muscat: Active northwest winds are affecting parts of the Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates. They are also causing the rise of dust in the desert and open areas, according to the latest observations recorded by some meteorological stations.

The Directorate General of Meteorology had previously warned of active north-west wind on Sunday with the possibility of rising dust and a decrease in the horizontal visibility at times in the desert and open areas of the governorates of Dhofar, Al Wusta, Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi.
