Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources on Tuesday organised a meeting with the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
The meeting held to exchange views on issues related to the WTO tasks and efforts in support of international trade liberalisation and economic growth.
The meeting touched on ways to support the global trade system, achieve stability in the trade movement and maintain the best rates of its flows around the world. It also discussed enhancing the benefit of the organisation in building specialised capabilities and public awareness in a way that enhances common interests and benefits within the framework of international trade.
A visual presentation on green hydrogen in the Sultanate of Oman was presented during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, WTO Director General.
