National University of Science and Technology announces Graduation and Awards Ceremony on 12th February 2023

The National University of Science and Technology, proudly announces the honouring of 1215 students receiving their M.Sc., B.Sc and BEng and Diploma degrees for the academic year 2021-2022, at its Graduation & Awards Ceremony on February, 12, 2023. The graduation will be under the patronage of HE Dr. Hilal Ali Hilal Al Sabti, Minister of Health. Dignitaries, parents and well-wishers are invited to attend and recognise the achievement of the graduates.

Special Awards and the Awards of Degree of all programmes will be conferred upon by the chief guests, Vice Chancellor, University of South Carolina representative, Glasgow Caledonian University representative, West Virginia University representative, and the Deans of the Colleges.

Special awards for high achievement will also be presented by the university. These include the Academic Excellence Award PG, Academic Excellence Award UG, Meritorious/ High Honors, Honors and Citizenship Awards.

The National University of Science and Technology is a leading private university in the Sultanate of Oman which began its operation in 2018 after a merger process of three leading educational institutions; Caledonian College of Engineering which was established in 1996 with an affiliation to Glasgow Caledonian University in the UK, Oman Medical College which was established in 2001 with an academic partnership with West Virginia University in the USA, and the Department of Pharmacy within Oman Medical College. In 2022, the NU got the permission to start new College of Advanced Technology (CAT) and has acquired from ASYAD, the International Maritime College Oman (IMCO), which is based in Sohar.
