All so-called rags-to-riches stories start and end the same way. But the path they take between the two ends gives each story its unique touch. For one of Dubai’s top real estate agents, Anthony Joseph Abou Jaoude, the navigation was full of dreams and nightmares. From a nobody to a someone to a somebody, Anthony has come a long way. And by all means, he has left an enviable trail behind him.
Anthony was born in Lebanon. When he was 22, he realized his dreams were bigger than his pockets could give fuel. He was lost, confused, too big for his city and too small yet, for his ambitions. He was earning $500 - $600 monthly and found himself blaming everything around him for not letting him grow. But he came to his own rescue. As someone who has always relied on thought more than emotion, Anthony realized that the blame game must end in Lebanon. And when he moved to Dubai in 2014, he started focusing instead on what he could bring to the large table of Dubai real estate. The city was enormous. So were the challenges, and Anthony felt right at home.
As he geared towards developing the real estate agent inside him, crafting his conduct, learning from his mistakes, and observing his peers, he realized he had covered some ground. And so did others. With success came competition, jealousy, and hatred. It was a difficult period. To see yesterday’s friends turn to foes forever made him feel his success stronger than ever. He saw all that comes with it and all that gets taken away.
In just four years, his success had skyrocketed. He has continued to be the top Broker in Dubai since 2018. And has been able to run shoulders with some of the wealthiest people on the planet.
