Eight killed in Lahore attack

Islamabad: At least eight people were killed and 24 injured in a blast outside the shrine of Data Darbar in Lahore on Wednesday.

According to police, five of those killed were security personnel.

Police have cordoned off the area and investigations into the nature of the blast are under way.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan condemned the attack. He was joined by other senior officials in Pakistan in expressing his condolences.
