HM announces cash rewards, land plots for Oman football team

Muscat: Within the context of the continuous Royal patronage of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and the attention he accords to sportspersons, His Majesty the Sultan issued his orders yesterday to pay out cash rewards to the players of the National Football Team, champions of the 23rd Gulf Cup held recently in Kuwait. The Royal orders covered all players of the team, as well as their technical and administrative apparatuses.

His Majesty the Sultan also gave orders to grant residential land plots to all players of the national football team in appreciation for their grand accomplishment which instilled happiness in all Omanis and residents on this dear homeland, and in recognition of their top professional performance, which reflected the spirit of perseverance and determination that distinguishes all Omani youth as they strive to realise honourable achievements in all international events.

The Royal orders come in pursuance of the attention accorded by His Majesty the Sultan to top performers to encourage them to hoist high the flag of the Sultanate in regional, continental and international arenas.

May Allah the Almighty protect His Majesty the Sultan and grant him good health and wellbeing.

On this occasion, Shaikh Sa'ad bin Mohammed Al Mardhouf Al-Sa'adi, Minister of Sports Affairs expressed his utmost thanks and sincerest sentiments of allegiance and gratitude to His Majesty the Sultan. He urged all sports organisations in the Sultanate to work diligently to guarantee that Oman achieves advanced places in various participations, in full translation of the Royal patronage of His Majesty the Sultan.
