Care and Special Education holds annual day celebrations

Muscat: Care and Special Education organised its annual day celebrations with colourful display on Saturday, 14 January 2023 at the Multipurpose Hall of Indian School Muscat.

Areej Mohsin Darwish, Chairperson of ACERE, cluster of Mohsin Haider Darwish graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr Sivakumar Manickam, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman was the Guest of Honour.

The function was attended by Syed Salman, Vice Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman; Vijay Saravanan, Director, Board of Directors, Indian Schools; Vinoba M.P., Senior Principal and Education Advisor; Sunil Kattakath, President of the CSE Management Committee, Vishala Lakshminarayan, Convener, CSE Management Committee, Sharafdeen Yoosaf, Member of the ISM SMC, Saji S. Nair, Senior Vice Principal of Indian School Muscat, CSE In Charge Sheeba Naqvi, teachers and parents of CSE.

While welcoming the august gathering, Sunil Kattakath, President of the CSE Management Committee reassured the best of services for the holistic enhancement of the children of Care and Special Education.  

Hon. Areej Mohsin Darwish, Chief Guest on the occasion, appreciated the efforts of the Management and Staff of Care and Special Education in providing the best of facilities for the uplift of the children with special needs. She congratulated the students on their stupendous performance on the stage.

Dr. Sivakumar Manickam, Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman thanked the Indian Schools in the capital area, philanthropists, corporates and other well-wishers for their continued support in sustaining and developing CSE as a quality center for the children. “True to its name, Care and Special Education is a home away from home for every child. With a team of experienced staff and dedicated parents, Care and Special Education continues to ensure that our goal of enhancing the educational value of our diverse students is achieved,” Dr. Manickam said.

Sheeba Naqvi, In Charge of CSE, presented an overview of the progress made by the Centre over the years. She lauded the team work of the staff in realising the goals of CSE and imparting the right education for its students.

The students of Care and Special Education held the audience rapt in attention with their outstanding performances.

The impressive spectacle was replete with mesmerising songs and captivating dances.

The décor, ambience, costumes and props were in perfect sync with the celebration of the annual day. The enthralling cultural extravaganza of the evening made the parent community feel proud of the innate talents possessed by their wards.
