Salalah: The Ministry of Labour on Sunday began implementing the training programme codenamed “Tamkeen Sahim”, third round, in the Governorate of Dhofar.
The 5-day programme targets 261 youth from the Governorate of Dhofar, who are appointed on job contracts.
The programme seeks to hone the skills of the trainees and it comprises many themes.
These include defining personal goals, career planning, communication and understanding of personality, mastering functional skills and 4IR skills, developing positive behaviour and improving productivity, learning strategies and leadership skills.
“Tamkeen Sahim” is an empowerment programme that stems from the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to consolidate the principle of decentralisation, develop Omani governorates, encourage the utilisation of scholarly expertise and open up new vistas for investment.
