Sharifa Khalid Al Balushi, Group Head- Human Capital Center of Excellence of The Zubair Corporation, recently inaugurated a workshop highlighting the relation between employee’s performance and organizational success.
The workshop, titled, "2nd SMART Performance Management “Constructive Feedback", was organized by the Zubair Corporation’s Human Capital Center of Excellence Division at Bait Al Zubair, and saw several executives and line managers from different departments of The Zubair Corporation and its subsidiaries participating in the workshop.
With an aim to build a productive work environment based on a culture of high performance, the workshop aims to improve the communication between the employee and line Manager and obtain the feedback of the performance management and emphasis the importance of linking employee performance with the objectives of the group companies.
Commenting on the workshop, Sharifa Al Balushi said, “The Zubair Corporation seeks to launch several initiatives in the field of human capital management in order to enhance the culture of institutional performance. This can be achieved by unifying the efforts made towards achieving the future goals of the Group that are set by the corporation's board of directors. The workshop aims to evaluate employees more effectively, give constructive feedback, handle difficult performance conversations, and use an effective coaching style to handle performance conversations.
In Addition, to change these perceptions related to performance Management process from being routine annual procedures to becoming an essential tool in the success and prosperity of any organization as well as being an effective tool for achieving continuous improvement for both the organization and the employee.”

The Human Resources Department at The Zubair Corporation is continuously working on designing and launching various initiatives and programmes aimed at developing human capital in the group companies. Workshops were conducted in coordination with Extra Miles Company, specialized in human capital management services.
