Muscat: An upper air trough is likely to affect the Sultanate of Oman starting from tomorrow, Tuesday, January 10, 2023, and is expected to last for three days, the Civil Aviation Authority said in a report.

The authority said in a statement: "The latest weather maps and analyzes of the National Early Warning Centre for Multi Hazards indicate that the north parts of the Sultanate of Oman may be affected by an upper air trough, starting from tomorrow, Tuesday, until Thursday."

"Clouds are expected to flow over the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah and Al Buraimi, with chances of rain of varying intensity and gradually extending to include the governorates of South Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah and Muscat and Southeast. There will be rainfall of varying intensity, ranging between 10-60 milliliters, and active downward winds blowing, with a speed ranging between 15 and 25 knots.
