ROHM to present gala concert ‘Opera Hits’

Muscat: The Royal Opera House Muscat is delighted to present a gala concert entitled ‘Opera Hits’.

The concert will feature solo artists with singers from the Choir of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari accompanied by the Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari and conducted by the charismatic young maestro, Gaetano Lo Coco.

Opera Hits is a concert compiled of arias, duets and overtures from the world’s best loved opera songs. Drawing from operas across the classical canon, including pieces from opera buffa and opera seria, the programme is designed to capture the range of emotional expression in song. Relax and enjoy pieces from the great composers Verdi, Bellini, Bizet and Puccini amongst others.

Opera Hits will feed the devoted opera fan as well as inspire new devotees.

Participating soloists include soprano Francesca Benitez, mezzo-soprano Lara Rotili, tenor Matteo Mezzaro, baritone Nicolai Zemlianskikh and bass Vincenzo Taormina.

Opera Hits will take place on Friday 6 January at 7pm at the Royal Opera House Muscat.
