Oman’s OQ wins Bentley Systems '2022 Going Digital Awards in Infrastructure'

Muscat: Bentley Systems, the infrastructure engineering software company, announced OQ Upstream’ s key infrastructure project from Oman as the winner of its '2022 Going Digital Awards in Infrastructure' ceremony held recently in London.

The Omani project, 'OQ Asset Reliability Digitalization with Purpose' for OQ, state-owned integrated energy company was declared winner among three finalists in the 2022 Going Digital Awards in Infrastructure in the Process and Power Generation category.

The annual awards ceremony is known to honor the extraordinary work of Bentley software users advancing infrastructure design, construction, and operations throughout the world.

Finalists presented their projects at the 2022 Year in Infrastructure and Going Digital Awards event in London before the global press and 11 independent jury panels. The jurors determined the winners of the 12 award categories from 36 finalists that were shortlisted from over 300 nominations submitted by more than 180 organizations from 47 countries.

These presentations illustrated how Bentley’s users mastered project challenges and achieved set objectives by leveraging the latest digital advancements.

OQ is the exclusive operator and owner of materially all of Oman's gas transportation system since 2018. Transporting natural gas to 59 connected parties in Oman through 4,000 km high pressure gas pipelines and transported 37.11bn scm of gas in Oman, the era of digitisation represents an opportunity for OQ to increase the quality, efficiency and overall yield their oil and gas exploration and production operations across the value chain.
