Muscat: The Shura Council on Monday presented its comments about the draft version of the Maritime Law forwarded by the government for review.
The Shura Council tasked its specialised panels to study and comment on a number of law drafts: A proposal to amend Article (1) of the law promulgated under Royal Decree No. 9/72 and a draft proposal to amend Article (12) of the Law on “Expropriation for Public Interest” and a draft proposal to amend the Foreign Capital Law by adding a term that requires a foreign investor to deposit OMR100,000 as a condition for exercising investment in Oman.
The council also studied the views of the Services and Social Development Committee about the draft version of Oman-EU Air Transport Agreement, a draft version of an air services agreement between the government of Sultanate of Oman and the government of Republic of South Africa, the draft version of an air services agreement between the government of Oman and the Republic of Rwanda and a draft version of the air services agreement between the government of Sultanate of Oman and the government of Republic of Cape Verde.
