Muscat: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Mamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs will preside over on Monday the ceremony to honour the winners of the 30th edition of Sultan Qaboos Competition for Memorisation of the Holy Quran 2022.
The celebration would be held at the Lectures Hall of Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.
The first place of the first level (memorising parts of the Holy Quran) went for Faisal bin Mohammed Al Balushi followed by Abdullah Haj Atiq and Emad bin Khalfan Al Rawahi, respectively.
In the second level (memorisation of 24 parts), Mohammed bin Said Al Ghamari secured the first place followed by Abdullh bin Mohammed Al Ameri and Said bin Abdullah Al Habsi, respectively.
In the third level (memorisation of 18 parts), Hajir bint Saleh Al Kindi secured the first place followed by Salim bin Said Al Mashrafi and Abeer bint Mohammed Al Hamdi, respectively.
In the fourth level (memorisation of 12 parts), Ahmed Saif Al Muqaimi secured the first place followed by Azza bint Said Al Sawafi (second place) and Saleh bin Mohammed Al Mashrafi (third place).
In the fifth level (memorisation of 6 parts), Sarah bint Yousef Al Mahrazi secured the first place followed by Al Hanouf bint Hamoud Al Nairi (second place) and Hajir bintJumah Al Maasbi (third place).
In the sixth level (memorisation of four parts ), Tasneem bint Yousef Al Mahrazi secured the first place followed by Al Mutassim bin Walid Al Khuzaimi( second place) and Jumanah bintMahdi Al Qasmi (third place).
In the seventh level (memorisation of 2 parts), Suhaib bin Hilal Al Siyabi secured the first place followed by A’atika bint Hamoud al Na’abi (second place) and Altafbint Hilal Al Habsi and Lilasbint Qais Al Majrafi (third place).
The number of participants in the competition for the year 2022 amounted to 2,881 on both genders.
