OCA thrash Muscat Women by 98 runs

Muscat: Oman Cricket Academy (OCA) recorded 98-run victory against Muscat Women in the Oman Cricket Women’s League Season 2022-23 powered by TM Done.

Electing to bat first, Skipper Vaishali Jesrani and Nitya Joshi opened the batting for OCA Women. Both openers looked in sublime form and tandem as they tonked the Muscat Women for 57 runs in the powerplay. Nitya Joshi took up the charge and continued charging onto the bowling with Vaishali getting out scoring 39 of 37 balls stitching a 122 run opening partnership.

In at No.3 , Nayan Anil joined hands with Nitya Joshi to take OCA Women to 232 runs. Nitya Joshi remained not out jotting 62 runs. This was a record for the highest total of OCA Women in a T20 match. In response, Muscat Women got off to a steady start by openers Nikithaa Jagadish and Amanda Dcosta.

The Muscat Women could not race up to the required run rate with Amanda Dcosta scoring 56 of 48 balls and Muscat Women falling short of 98 runs.
