1. Several establishments raided for violations in Oman
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has raided 13 establishments in Dhofar Governorate for practicing hotel activity without obtaining the necessary permits.
The Ministry calls upon all unlicensed establishments to stop practicing the activity until obtaining the necessary approvals and licenses in order to avoid taking legal measures in accordance with the executive regulations of the Tourism Law.
2. Eight expats arrested for entering Oman illegally
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested eight foreigners for entering the Sultanate of Oman illegally and for violating the residence law.
ROP said in a statement: "The Al Wusta Governorate Police Command arrested eight infiltrators of African nationality on charges of entering the country illegally and violating the residence law. The legal procedures are being completed against them."
3. Minor surgery centre inaugurated at Baushar Specialised Polyclinic
A clinic has been inaugurated at Baushar Specialised Polyclinic to perform minor surgeries for people residing in Muscat Governorate only.
"Baushar Specialised Polyclinic inaugurates a clinic to perform mini operations, as part of the development of treatment services. The clinic receives patients residing in Muscat Governorate only. The operations are performed by specialised doctors from Royal and Khoula Hospitals, " Directorate General of Health Services in Muscat Governorate said in a statement.
