Muscat: The Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel recently sponsored the 2022 'Himam Mountain Run', which this year witnessed the participation of 570 male and female runners in distances of 100 km, 55 km and 25 km from 45 countries, and about two thousand participants in children's car races.

The closing ceremony was held in Nizwa, and its awards were distributed under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Muhammad bin Salem Al Said.

Moroccan Rasheed Al-Mourabiti took the lead in the biggest race (Challenge of the Hajar Mountains) in a time of 16 hours and 2 minutes, followed by Omani runner Hamdan Al-Khatri in second place, with a difference of 7 minutes, to cross the finish line in 16 hours and 9 minutes, and thirdly, Moroccan Rachid Al-Amrani, who reached the finish line in 16 hours. 1 hour 11 minutes. During the award ceremony, the sponsors were honored, and the honorary award for the hotel was received from His Highness Sayyid Mohammed bin Salem Al Said, Sundeep Jaitly, CEO of Ubar Resorts and Hotels, and General Manager of the Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel.
