Muscat: Al Buraimi Industrial City, which falls under the umbrella of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), organised recently Madayn’s Running Event in cooperation with Al Buraimi Volunteer Team. Targeting the citizens and residents in the Sultanate, the event aimed at promoting the spirit of initiative, cooperation and significance of sports among the society. With the participation of more than 200 competitors, the event included running competition, rope-pulling contest, among other activities.
Eng. Abdullah Al Mayasi, Director General of Al Buraimi Industrial City, commented that this event plays an important role in activating social responsibility projects and activities in Al Buraimi governorate. “Such events also contribute to enhancing the role of Al Buraimi Industrial City in serving the local community through bringing together the industrial city’s investors and members of the community,” Al Mayasi pointed out.
He added that the event aims at spreading a culture of health, emphasising on the importance of doing sports activities and exercises, deepening the spirit of initiative and cooperation among the investors and the society, and encouraging the companies and factories in the industrial city to support such activities held in the governorate.
