Muscat: Seventeen expats were arrested and will be deported outside of the Sultanate of Oman for violating the Living Aquatic Resources Law.
"The fisheries control team of the Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Al Wusta deported 17 expatriate workers who violated the Living Aquatic Resources Law to the joint inspection team in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, in preparation for their deportation outside the country. The workers were caught earlier with violations related to the practice of hunting operations, in coordination with Al Wusta Operations of the Royal Oman Police," the Ministry said in a statement.
