Bangladesh Social Club celebrates Oman’s 52nd National Day

Muscat: Bangladesh Social Club Oman celebrated the 52nd National Day of the Sultanate of Oman with a day-long programme of the Bangladeshi community on 2nd December 2022 in Muscat. A large number of people attended the programme.

Thousands of people of the community from all walks of life attended the celebration programme. A large number of stalls were put up with decorations having elements of Omani and Bangladeshi cultures.

Miss Moushimi Rahman, Deputy Chief of Mission and Thoyan Aye, Head of Chancery of Bangladesh Embassy in Muscat also attended the programme as Chief Guest & Special Guest, respectively. The Deputy Chief of Mission requested the participants to abide by the laws of the land.

The Bangladesh Social Club Oman awarded a memento to Iftakher ul Hasan Chowdhury, CEO of Gulf Overseas Exchange for his contribution to the socio-cultural development of the community & Dr. Abdul Momen of New Fanza Policlinic for his support to community health care.

The programme was presided over by the Chairman of the Club, Sirajul Hoque. Rezaul Karim, Vice President of the Club and Convener of the programme and Azimul Hoque Babul, Vice President also addressed the gathering.

The programme ended with a music event comprising Omani  and Bangladeshi songs and dances.
