1. Woman injured in cooking gas explosion in Muscat
A woman was critically injured due to the explosion of a cooking gas at a house in the Wilayat of Baushar, Muscat Governorate.
"The firefighting teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in the Governorate of Muscat responded to a cooking gas explosion at a house in the Al-Ansab area in the Wilayat of Baushar, which resulted in the injury of a woman. Emergency medical care was provided to her on site and she was taken to hospital in critical condition," Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) said in a statement.
2. One arrested for violating traffic rules in Oman
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested a person and seized his vehicle for violating traffic regulations, endangering his life and the lives of others in Al Buraimi Governorate.
"Al Buraimi Governorate Police Command was able to arrest a vehicle driver after a video clip spread showing his violation of traffic regulations, endangering his life and the lives of others. The legal procedures are being completed against him," the Directorate General of Traffic said in a statement.
The ROP calls on everyone to adhere to traffic rules and regulations and to make roads safer.
3. Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources issues ministerial decision
Applications for approval to obtain a licence for retail activity in specialised stores for fish and other seafood will be temporarily suspended for a period of six months.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources issued Ministerial decision No. 240/2022 to stop receiving applications for approval to obtain a licence for retail activity in specialised stores for fish and other seafood and their products.
The first article of the decision stipulated that receiving applications for approval to obtain a licence for retail activity in specialised stores for fish and other seafood and their products will be temporarily suspended for a period of six months.
The second article said that the decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and shall come into effect seven days after the date of its publication.
