1. Citizen airlifted to hospital in Oman

The Royal Air Force of Oman has transferred a citizen in need of specialised health care from South Al Sharqiyah Governorate to Muscat Governorate.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said: "One of the helicopters of the Royal Air Force of Oman carried out a medical evacuation of a citizen in need of specialised health care. He was transferred from Masirah Hospital in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate to the Armed Forces Hospital in Al Khoudh in Muscat Governorate to receive the necessary specialised treatment. " 

2. Cruise ship Norwegian Jade arrives at Salalah Port

Salalah Port in Dhofar Governorate has received the cruise ship 'Norwegian Jade' with more than 2,500 tourists on board.

"This morning, the cruise ship Norwegian Jade arrived at the port of Salalah, coming from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, carrying 2,550 passengers. Tourists will tour archaeological parks and popular markets, in addition to getting acquainted with the most important heritage and tourist sites in the governorate," the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism said in a statement. 

3. Liwa Model City to be inaugurated tomorrow

His Highness Sayyid Balarab bin Haitham will patronise on Monday evening the inauguration ceremony of the "Liwa Model City", which covers an area of 12 million square metres, and accommodates about 30,000 people, and includes 1,300 housing units, and all public services and facilities are available in it.

His Excellency Dr. Khalfan Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, said to Oman News Agency that the new city in the Wilayat of Liwa is one of the model cities with integrated facilities and services with its institutional integration and community participation, and it constitutes a living example for the implementation of sustainable urban planning policies and standards.

His Excellency Mohammed Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, explains to ONA: The urban planning of the city makes it easier for community communication, which strengthens family and community ties in the city, customs and traditions.
