Frankincense Season event to be held in Dhofar

The "Frankincense Season" event, organised by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will open in the Land of Frankincense sites in Al-Baleed Archaeological Park, Samhram Archaeological Park, and Wadi Doka Nature Reserve.

The event will continue until December 2, 2022. Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Abri, Director General of the Directorate General of Heritage and Tourism in Dhofar Governorate, said: "The event aims to highlight the historical features of the sites of the Land of Frankincense and the civilised roles it played by building bridges of cultural and commercial exchange with various civilisations of the world in the past, as well as enhancing the tourist flow during winter season."
