Muscat: Two agreements were signed here today between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Daleel Petroleum company and Innotech company to set up a Space Sciences and Technology corner at the Children’s Museum.
The agreement was signed by Sayyid Said Sultan Al Busaidi, Culture Undersecretary, Dr. Ali Amer Al Shidhani, Communications and Information Technology Undersecretary, as well as Othman Maktoum Al Manthiri, CEO of innotech, and Daleel Petroleum’s Executive Manager.
The agreement comes within the framework of utilizing advance technology to inform children about space sciences. It also aims to empower and boost cultural production based on renewal and innovation.
The project targets setting up an environment simulating the space and the devices that help humans reach the space. Moreover, the project aims to increase the interest of students and families in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
