1. Oman's Embassy in Lebanon quashes rumours

Oman's Embassy in Lebanon has denied rumours that circulated on social media platforms stating that the Sultanate of Oman will finance the Lebanese Opera House.

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Beirut would like to clarify that there is no truth to what is being circulated on social media, that the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Lebanese Republic has stated that Oman will finance the Lebanese Opera House during his meeting with the Lebanese Minister of Culture, Mohammad Wissam Mortada, on Monday morning.

2. One arrested for thefts in Dhofar Governorate

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested a person for committing thefts in Dhofar Governorate.

"The Dhofar Governorate Police Command has arrested a suspect for the crimes of vehicle theft and theft from homes. The legal procedures are being completed against him," ROP said in a statement. 

3. HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham to patronise Oman Equestrian Festival 2022

His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said will patronise the Oman Equestrian Festival 2022 which will be held on December 7, 2022 at Al Rahba Farm in the Wilayat of Barka, South Al Batinah Governorate.

"His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, patronises the Oman Equestrian Festival 2022, scheduled to be held on December 7, with a joint organisation of the Oman Equestrian Federation and the Royal Cavalry at Al Rahba Farm in the Wilayat of Barka, " Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.

4. Man arrested for impersonating police in Oman 

A person was arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) for impersonating a policeman and coercive theft in Muscat Governorate. 

According to the ROP, Muscat Governorate Police Command arrested a person on charges of impersonating a policeman and coercive theft. The legal procedures are being completed against him.
