Muscat: The Secretariat General of National Celebrations announced that preparations for the 52nd National Day have been completed.
Sheikh Sabbaa Hamdan Al Saadi, Secretary General of the Secretariat General of National Celebrations, told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the celebrations include a military parade to be presided over by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik at Al Nasr Parade Ground in the Governorate of Dhofar on 18 November.
Sheikh Sabbaa pointed out that a reception will be organised in all wilayats of Oman, with the participation of citizens. He added that the Sultanate of Oman’s Flag has been hoisted in the Governorate of Muscat starting from Al Bustan roundabout along the main road till Al Barakah Palace roundabout, while illuminations were installed on either side of the road.
One wilayat from each governorate in Oman has been decorated with ornaments in celebration of the glorious occasion, which will see the launch of shiny drone pageants and laser shows, he said.
Lively carnivals will be held in two different sites of the Governorate of Muscat on 18 and 19 November. Similar shows will be held in the Governorate of Dhofar on 18 November and the Governorate of Musandam on 23 November, he added.
He pointed out that a number of development projects will be opened in various sectors, marking the National Day.
At the end of his statement, Sheikh Sabaa extended greetings and sincere wishes to His Majesty the Sultan, praying to Allah the Almighty to have him witness to this dear occasion for years to come and to endow him with good health and long life. He also wished Oman further progress and prosperity.
