Muscat: The State Council opened on Sunday its fourth convening of the seventh term (2019-2023).
During the session, the State Council approved a study on the system for approval and equation of certificates of students studying abroad and another one on mental health.
Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council pointed to the efforts extended during the discussions of the two studies. He also pointed to the roles of the members of the State Council and their proposals supportive to the work of the State Council.
The State Council discussed the agenda of the session, wherein it approved the study on the system for approval and equation of certificates of students studying abroad.
Dr. Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, member of the State Council stressed the significance of the study as it discussed the legislations regulating approval of certificates and identified the challenges and difficulties facing approval of certificates.
He also pointed out that the committee agreed to several recommendations that serve approval and equation of certificates in the Sultanate of Oman.
The State Council also approved the study of the Social Committee on “mental health”. Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Ameri, Chairman of the Social Committee said that the committee is in the opinion of acceleration of issuance of a law on mental health in consistent with implementation of the pillars of Oman Vision 2040.
The State Council also acquainted with the reports submitted by the members, the report of the Secretariat General on the activities of the State Council during the past period and approval of the minutes of the last session of the third convening of the seventh term.
