The participants in the Holy Qur’an competition honoured in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate

The Wilayat of Dima Wattayyen, in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, was celebrated by honouring the students participating in the Holy Qur’an competition.

His Excellency Dr Mohammed bin Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the sponsor of the occasion, praised the efforts made by citizens to establish religious facilities represented in mosques and Holy Quran schools.

His Excellency pointed out the importance of the Holy Qur’an competitions because of their role in educating young people to memorize the Book of God and understand its meanings, and to raise a Quranic generation that carries Qur’an.Khasab

Port receives German cruise ship 'Mein Schiff 6'

Khasab Maritime Port received the German cruise ship Mein Schiff 6 with 2,230 tourists of different nationalities on board coming from Dubai, with the aim of visiting the various tourist areas in Musandam. This is the first cruise ship to arrive at Khasab Port in the 2022-2023 tourist season. The arriving tourists were welcomed at a reception organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism

The Governorate of Musandam offers its visitors many tourist options, so the tourist chooses what suits him of the recreational programmes organised by tourism companies in Khasab, including cruises, and city tours represented by visiting the most important sites such as Khasab Fort, the coastal road and Bukha Fort, in addition to safari trips to Jebel Harim.

Super Cars Council team visits Musandam Governorate to promote tourism

The Super Cars Council team for luxury cars is visiting Musandam Governorate with the aim of promoting and highlighting the tourism potentials in the governorate.

The team, which is concluding its work today, toured the coastal road of Musandam, the Khasab-Tibat road, which is full of zigzags and stunning landscapes that combine high mountains and the blue coast. It was warmly received by folk songs and the local culture that characterises the governorate at Atana Musandam Hotel.

The team also made an exploratory cruise to the marine tourist areas that are characterised by Khasab and attract tourists and visitors from all over the world.

The team is affiliated with the Oman Automobile Club, and it organises sports activities for cars, and organises road rallies to highlight the aesthetic elements of tourism and historical landmarks of the place and to promote internal tourism to Oman.

Activities of cultural season 2022 concluded in North Al Batinah Governorate

The activities of the cultural season 2022, organised by the Directorate General of Culture, Sports and Youth in the governorate, were concluded in the Wilayat of Sohar, with the wide participation of artists and intellectuals in the governorate’s wilayats.

The ceremony included the presentation of patriotic poems presented by Dr Khaled bin Ali Al-Alawi, Asila bint Saif Al-Suhaili, Talal bin Ahmed Al-Zaabi and Majid bin Hamad Al-Muqbali. Their poems varied between eloquent and popular poetry.

The ceremony also included a visual presentation of the activities that were implemented throughout the cultural season, including art and plastic exhibitions, theatrical performances, training workshops in photography, story writing, reading, and innovation labs for children, in addition to honouring the institutions and individuals involved in the success of these events.

The ceremony was sponsored by Yaqoub bin Yousef Al-Kamshki, Member of the State Council.
