Oman's crude oil, condensates production rises 10.4%

Muscat: Oman’s crude and oil condensates production increased by 10.4 per cent to reach 289.78 million barrels at the end of September 2022, according to data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

Separately, crude oil production alone recorded an increase of 14.1 per cent during this period, while production of oil condensate decreased by 2 per cent until the end of September 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

The average price of Omani crude oil also recorded a 58 per cent increase to reach $96.2 per barrel at the end of September 2022, compared to $60.9 per barrel at the end of September 2021. The average daily oil production increased by 10.4 per cent at the end of September 2022 compared to the previous period.

The Sultanate of Oman's total oil exports witnessed an increase of 14.6 per cent until the end of September 2022, compared to the same period last year.

Oman's oil exports to Japan recorded a remarkable growth of 172.1 per cent to reach 9,212,300 barrels by the end of last September. Oil exports to South Korea increased by 42.5 per cent during this period.

Natural gas production (including imports) in the Sultanate of Oman until the end of September 2022 witnessed an increase of 16.4 per cent to reach 39.19 billion cubic metres.

The consumption of gas recorded a rise in industrial areas by 28.6 per cent and industrial projects by 19.3 per cent. Meanwhile, consumption of gas in oil fields by the end of September 2022 recorded a rise of 12.5 and power plants by 11.9 per cent, according to data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
