1. Part of Darsait Bridge to be closed temporarily


 A portion of the Darsait Bridge will be closed temporarily from today until Friday, November 11, 2022, Muscat Municipality said.

"Muscat Municipality, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Traffic, will implement a partial closure of the Darsait Bridge towards Qurum, starting from Wednesday evening, until Friday, November 11, 2022, in order to replace the expansion joints of the bridge. Please be careful and follow the traffic instructions shown on the site, " Muscat Municipality said in a statement.

2. SQU issues statement regarding graduation ceremony

Sultan Qaboos University(SQU) has urged graduates to bring their ID card to attend the graduation ceremony on Sunday, November 6, 2022.

"The Deanship of Admission notes that graduates must bring the ID card to enter the graduation ceremony on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 6:00pm," SQU said in a statement. 

The ceremony which will be held on November 6, 2022 will be for graduates of: PhD, MA and BA from faculties of: Law, Education, Economics, Political Science, Arts and Social Sciences departments.

3. Traffic fine payments, vehicle licence printing services now available via Khedmah

An agreement was signed between the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and Oman Investment and Finance Company’s Khedmah platform to provide traffic fines and vehicle licence (Mulkiya) printing services through the company’s various channels.

"In continuation of our commitment to facilitating services to the Sultanate, we are pleased to announce our new service with Royal Oman Police, enabling traffic fine payment at Khedmah branches across Oman and printing of vehicle licence (Mulkiya) using our self-service devices at select branches," Khedmah said.

4. Photography contest inaugurated

Oman Airports announced the inauguration of a photography competition titled “Oman in the Eyes of the World”.

The competition is organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and the sponsorship of Oman Air and OMRAN Group.

The competition aims to highlight Oman’s beauty and aesthetic aspects. The winning photos will be displayed in various airports, including Muscat International Airport, Salalah Airport and Duqm Airport.
