Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has denounced and expressed its condemnation of the two bombings that targeted the Ministry of Education in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "The Sultanate of Oman expresses its condemnation of the two bombings that targeted the Ministry of Education in the Somali capital Mogadishu, and expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the Federal Republic of Somalia and to the families of the victims, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured. "
"The Sultanate of Oman has affirmed its solidarity with Somalia and its firm stance in rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism that contradict human principles and values," ONA added.
Two car bomb explosions at the education ministry in Somalia's capital Mogadishu killed and wounded scores of people.
Authorities said the Islamist group al Shabaab carried out the attack, which they said had targeted the education ministry, an intersection and a school.
At 2 pm al-Shabaab terrorists carried out two explosions targeting civilians, including children, women and the elderly.
