1. Three arrested for entering Oman illegally
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested three expats for entering the Sultanate of Oman illegally.
According to the ROP, the Musandam Governorate Police Command has arrested three people of Asian nationality on charges of entering the country illegally. The legal procedures are being completed against them.
2. Nine people rescued from a house fire in Dhofar
The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has rescued a family of nine people, including a child after a fire broke out at their house in the Wilayat of Salalah on Wednesday.
CDAA said in a statement: The firefighting teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in the Dhofar Governorate managed to put out a fire that broke out in a house in the southern Al Saada area in the Wilayat of Salalah. The teams used the hydraulic crane to rescue nine people, including a child, as emergency medical care was provided to her and she was transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment."
3. Four arrested for drug smuggling attempt in Oman
Four people have been arrested for attempting to smuggle large quantities of Khat into the Sultanate of Oman.
Coast Guard Police in Dhofar Governorate arrested four people of Arab nationality while they were trying to smuggle large quantities of khat. The legal procedures are being completed against them.
