3 UAE-based NRIs retain their rank in Forbes list of 100 richest people

Muscat: Three non-resident Indians - Lulu Group Chairman MA Yusuff Ali; Joyalukkas Group Chairman, Joy Alukkas and Chairman of Landmark Group Micky Jagtiani, living in the United Arab Emirates retained their positions in the Forbes list of 100 richest persons.

Yusuff Ali whose Lulu Group is one of the fastest growing hypermarket chains, is ranked 35th with a net worth of $5.4 billion while Joy Alukkas, having one of the largest network of jewellery shops in the Middle East, is ranked 69th with a net worth of $3.1 billion.

UAE-based Micky Jagtiani is ranked 73rd in the list with his wealth estimated to be $2.9 billion.

Born in Kuwait, Jagtiani studied in Chennai, Mumbai and Beirut, before moving to London.
