Tourism in Masirah Island is set to get a big boost after the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Oman gave the green signal for flights to land in the beautiful town. Travellers had to drive and use ferry to reach the popular island, which is nearly 510km from the capital Muscat, spending nearly six hours In an official Twitter handle of the CAA, the authorities said that the “approval of two domestic flights per week to Masirah Island from Muscat has been given to Salam Air.” The CAA added further that the domestic operations will begin from November 3, 2002.
